The original post was about car hire prices but you have introduced estate agents commission for some reason. Many agents have gone bust due to Covid, but there are plenty in and around our port who charge 3% max, and they will negotiate to encourage using them. Agents around here in the UK often advertise figures of less than 1%!
In response to another post on this thread regarding Brittany Ferries to Spain, thereby avoiding France. I checked sailings from Portsmouth the other day and they were fully booked, I could only get availability from Plymouth which doesn't really suit me. I much prefer to take my own car for long trips.
