Hi, my car is kept at Alicante airport, I'm going back to the UK on Tuesday. ITV runs out in February. The parking company have stopped offering an ITV service. The car is 20 years old, I'm not expecting it to fail. My question is.. If I take it for an ITV test on Monday and it fails does it invalidate the old one? I'm not coming back to Spain until March. Would it be more sensible to wait till then ? Regards Jim
You can take a vehicle for an ITV test up to one month before the expiration of the ITV certificate and this does not affect the expiry date of the current ITV.
I don't know how much earlier than 1 month you can take it though.
Why not just take it & see what happens ?
If the ITV runs out while you are in the UK you will have to use a Grua to take it for the ITV when you get there.
Probably easier to change who you park your car with at Alicante !
