Hi All,

My wife and i have one of Group Uno properties in Lo Pagan Las Palmas.

We have an agent who looks after our property and has advised us we need to get a tourist License to rent this out to holiday makers to make it Legal.

He has sent me the link and even when I have translated it to English my head is spinning to actually understand what there actually want me to fill in.

Does anyone know that can process this for us as we live in  the IOM and our Lawyer in Lo Pagan wasn't able to process this for us.

Any help will be gratefully received,,,

Many Thanks

Rod and Isabel

We did ours through Ana Madrid at Mare Nostrum Law and Tax in Los Alcazares. She completed and submitted the form for us but you will have to be there for your inspection visit which for us took about 7 months! You then need to go to the local Guardia Civil to register with them to gain access to their website where you have to register the details of all your guests.

You have to register in the "Registro de Empresas y Actividades Turísticas de la Región de Murcia".

You can do it online or fill the forms available here.

Good day

yes agree with all of the other contributors.

It might a long process paperwork and tben awaiting both the local and regional inspectors before you can rent and then having to register in and out every person who rents the property with the local police which is now an online process.

However all this much better than the Spanish courts and such massive fines for tax evasion that it bankrupts many of those being caught. Just not worth the chance....and the authorities are checking and patrolling regularly!!

And remember to declare that kind of use in your home insurance!

Do the Spanish government not tax you anyway if you rent or not?

My friend had to pay but didn't rent her place out.

They used to do but that stopped 3 or 4 years ago if I remember correctly.

you have to pay non residents tax whether or not you rent out your property and all  information and activity is tracked and shared so the Spanih government will find out!!
