There is devastating flooding all along the east coast from Denia down to Almeria.

There is very little reporting because emergency work is taking priority.

There appears to be more reporting on UK television than here in Spain.

That may well be down to the level of flooding.

Murcia has been declared a National Emergency Area with the Mayor of Los Alcazares appealing for public help to assist the council workers and hundreds of Army personal drafted into the area to help.

The AP7 has been shut impassable so you can appreciate how bad travel and communication is.

Many local roads have been washed away, the main 332 has been passable in places.

Major supermarkets were hit by deep floodwater and last night we had another horrendous storm. The rain was that heavy it was deafening.

So updated reports for Saturday morning so far are not available. But a lot of the work done yesterday after the first Gota Fria was probably undone during the storms of early Saturday morning.

We have not heard off friends living in the region of the coast and internet and phones have been down.

Lo Pagan has suffered much devastation with raging flood water. If your apartment was on the ground floor prepare for the worst, so sorry.

You need to contact anyone you know in Lo Pagan for an update. If you have Insurance do a pre claim based on further information when it becomes available.

Understand your inquiry, but its absolute devastation here.

Dear Mmcam, have you any contact with someone near your apartment that can check your garage.

As the whole area was inundated with flood water you car unfortunately like many many others could be submerged.

As insurance claims are enterrd in a queue basis, and on the basis the area was classified as a National Emergency, it may pay you to instigate a pre claim. Normally the insurance company will enter your claim on the National Claim Registry which all insurance companies subscribe to for such emergencies. However, preference initially is given to property claims. There are thousands of families evacuated from these areas. If you want the Regional Claims office pm me, best of luck, regards Al
