A good insurance first, and then I've heard Tyco are offering good prices.

We use the services of Securitas Direct, for security reasons i would prefer not to declare what facilities we have but it costs us approx €60 per month, this in part pays for the items we have at our property eg cameras
We have had 2 attempted break ins where boys have jumped the wall/gates, thankfully the alarms/lights/cameras sent them packing..the Police arrived on both occasions.
We are happy with their service, hope this helps provide a benchmark at least.
