Advice please :-)

You have stumbled across an absolute gem of an area, not just Lo Pagan but the whole area of the Mar Menor, we own a villa in Lo Pagan and intend to move out permanently soon.

We bought through and agent and the Developer we bough from build a very nice villa, take a look at their website http://www.groupuno.com/entremares-deluxe/

However our advise would be stay in a local hotel (Hotel Neptuno is right on the Mar Menor) and spend some time walking the area, and get a feel for the place.

Take a look at a number of websites with regard to what is being developed...Murcia Villas, Chersun even A Place in the Sun and a local estate agent with more traditional Spanish homes called

If you are confident to drive it will help to get a feel for the scale of the area, if not make contact with this lady, Maria has her own taxi and provides a fantastic service for family when they visit (we always hire).  She will pick you up from San Javier

We looked around Lo Pagan which is lovely but ended up buying in Mar de Cristal.  I recommend Nicky from white coast in Sucina she showed areas we did not even know about and has lots of new villas as you describe.

Hi, we have also bought from Group Uno through Chersun who were excellent, we have bought an apartment with a shared pool in Lo Pagan which will be ready end of May or early June. We visited the area twice before deciding it was exactly what we wanted. We are very excited and hope to meet lots of people making new friends along the way.

Group Uno have certainly developed a good few properties in the last 4-5 years, they build a damn good product.

We have found the local people to be very warm and met a good few people who have, like us, bought in the area.

We intend to move permanently in the very near future, we recently put a deposit down on a car and on the verge of putting our house in Wales up for sale...gave my employer plenty of notice of my intentions...partly down to health reasons...so everything is coming together.

Hi Anthony, thanks for the quick reply, we are coming over for almost two weeks at the end of August so hopefully we can meet up, in the meantime hope you don’t get fed up if I bombard you with questions.

We are over in July with a number of family members and then we intend to move permanently from October/November.

Look forward to catching up, in the meantime ask away.....we are still learning but happy to share our experiences so far.

We have just moved in to a townhouse matching your spec on the RESIDENCIAL AZUCENA DEL MAR IV on Obdulio Miralles Serrano. It is an easy walk to the beaches, bars and restaurants, and shops.

All the advice you have received is good.  I would say don't be in a hurry to part with your money.  The mar menor is a wonderful place. I am in San Pedro opposite the garage on the Avd del Puerto. I love the town and it's easy access to get to the airports and large shopping malls.

Also we have a health centre and a pro active mayor. I like the ease of access to the med and the mar menor good shopping and market on a Monday.  

Different people like what suits them, none of them are wrong.  Take your time look around be bold and hire a car , get a map and have look around.  It's easy most towns are accessed by the N332 get on it and jump off when a town is signposted.  Have a look.
