We have UK mobile phone services, which we're quite happy with for now.

However, we have found that often to register for services, buy products online, etc. a Spanish mobile phone number is required.

Can anyone please recommend the best value 'Pay As You Go' phone service provider? We're unlikely to actually make any calls, we just need a number and, I guess, may receive SMS notifications, etc.

TIA

I am not sure if best value as I am not a tecky? But when I was looking for a cheap/ basic pay as you go mobile, I went to my local Telephone shop and explained in broken Spanish what I wanted and I ended up buying a Alcatel 2003G phone and SIM = 30 euro and then spent 10 euro to top the phone up, The chap in the shop set it all up for me, You have to have i.d to register the phone = passport/TIE, anyway it works fine, 3/4 months after set up I still have 5 euro in credit, I have also a online account to access my phone, the company I am with is Lebara and you can check them out on

https;//mobile.lebara.com/es/en/tarifas-prepago

Sorry I must explain I have moved to Torrevieja

Good luck, hope all works out for you.

if you have an unlocked phone (better with a dual sim) you can buy a 5e sim usually with the same amount in credit on it.
You can buy an unlocked phone for around 20e in big stores like mediamarkt,  The english speaking provideres like Lobster and Hits are popular for sims here. In all cases you have to top up around every six months or lose your number.  Also if buying a sim or phone you have to take your passport etc, as all have to be registered,

I have used digi movile for a number of years pay 5 euros per month for I think 3gb but have at the moment 23.12 gb Accumulated,  have used their services in uk and through out mainland Europe no problems. You can  order a sim on line if required
