I have an interest in this area of the world, and I’m wondering if it’s possible to live in such a beautiful area, if you are a foreigner from the U. S.

Yes of course it is possible to live in Lorca, however you would really need to know at least the basics of the Spanish language as most Lorcians can't speak English.
Lorca is a beautiful old very large town.
