Yes I can recommend Paco Sanchez, he deals with Lorca area and speaks better English than me. We bought our house from him in March last year and if you look at his website... paco House....   You will see our review listed there.  His email is

It is a lovely area. We live in the Purias area which is countryside where lots of vegetables and fruit are grown for export.  Cheap tapa bars mainly Spanish. Lorca has lots of shops and historical buildings. There are a few ex pats here but nothing like the Mojacar area. Mojacar takes us forty minutes drive and Vera town is closer which is good. It takes us about twenty minutes to Aguilas our nearest seaside.  Aguilas is a fabulous place, a Spanish resort with nice shops and bars, free parking.  We walk along the flat seafront from one end to the other.  It all depends if you want to be with English people.   We are learning Spanish but sometimes its hard making yourself understood with a translate app on the phone but we get by and managed to sort out our medical cards and residency.  Lorca has Aldi Lidl and Mercadona. We Like Mercadona for meat and fish.  Alemara shopping mall is a ten minute drive from us where there is a Carrefour.  If you need any more info get in touch. Good Luck

Hi  yes the medical centre and the local police station are next to one another in Lorca and this is where you go. When you buy your house you will need to have your NIE number and Padron. The Padron lasts three months. You will need these also to get your residency (if you want to be a resident of Spain) after which you can go to the medical centre and register. They then give you a doctor nearest to your house.   Everyone was very helpful.

1.  Get NIE number, i am sure Paco will help you, local police station

2.  Get Padron in Lorca town

3.  Take these papers and passports for residency cards to the local police station not far from Lidl. Plus both names confirming proof of income on bank statement.

4. Then health card. We had to get a form S1 from England completed to take to the Lorca Social Insurance office and then went to Lorca medical centre near the police station.

In case I have missed something you need to take, it is worth checking on a reliable website.

Paco is a great guy. No probelms.

Yes there is an Estate Agent Called 'Paco House' based in Lorca.  He doesn't have a shop, but is on line.  His name is Paco, I'm using him as my agent to sell my house near Lorca.

Hi, where about is your house? I have a property in a Spanish village I want to put on the market with a Spanish speaking estate agent and just wondering how much interest you are getting if you are also in a Spanish area. Thanks
