We use IPTV with a 600Mbps fibre internet, and TVMucho on a smart tv or a Firestick- about £70 a year for HD on 2 platforms. It works reasonably well, and if there are problems they react 24/7 to sort it.

Main problem with satellite is that in bad weather the clouds gather out to the east of the Mar menor - right in line with the satellite - so tv splutters or stops!

Which Internet provider do you use,how much per month is it. I assume you have unlimited broadband if you use a firestick or media box.

IPTV will work with as little as 20meg, but obviously the more the better. A mag box is far better and more stable than a fire stick, but more expensive. However, you do it it will always be better than satellite.

Thanks,I just wondered which Internet providers people were using to use a media box. Normally needs the router settings changed to be able to use apps etc.

Thanks, not in Los Narejos yet because of restrictions, the property I have bought has a small dish on the roof terrace, might need to replace it for a bigger one. Any recommendations on satellite installers in the area?

We were with Teleast Digital Internet when we lived in Los Alcázares and after we moved to San Pedro del Pintar, we changed to Flexa. We're now paying 39.90€ a month for Fibre 600 and two mobiles, with the first 3 months at 9.90€! I'd say that Flexa is better than Teleast as they sometimes d...

If you are a non-resident, Flexa do a pay as you go option. You just setup an account on Line, and then just fill out online how many days you want it for. Add in the Start date and finish date, and they will activate for them dates. The longer you stay the cheaper the rate.  The rate Started at  about 2euro a day, going down to 1 euro a day after about 10days for a 100mb. I have not been over for about a year due to Covid.so it may have gone up a bit. Whether you go Pay as you go or Fixed price there is a broadband line install Charge, about 100euro

Thanks, due to Covid restrictions  I haven't moved on yet, will make decision when I get there. So even of the previous owner had Internet there's still a 100 euro connection charge, pity, usually not charged in UK.

I had mine install 4 years ago with another supplier, and I change to Flexa  after 2 years , I asked them Why can't they use the Existing cable. They said the cable was install  and owned by the Existing Supplier, so they could not use it. It's not like the UK where the line is installed to your house when built, and you can use any supplier on that line. I Would check with the existing supplier, as the line is already there, to see what deals they would give you.  I took out the full package first of all at 20e pm, but I found it was much cheaper to go Pay as you go for the Amount of time I spent out there being a Non-resident.
