Hi

Wouldn’t it be great if we could do something on this forum around sharing Taxis from the new airport to Los Narrjos. Not sure about the logistics of it though but would certainly be cheaper.

It would! I've visited Los Alcazares at least twice a year since 2013 and love it. One of the additional benefits being San Javier airport.

Perhaps it could be as simple as leaving a message on this forum 'Arriving at Corvera at **pm on ** date, transferring to Los Alcazares etc......'Anyone else arriving about the same time and willing to share a taxi?' Similar to a 'Resort Hopper'  service.  A '100 euro return trip' from the airport to the Mar Menor is scandalous.

Hi

Yes we have just returned from LA the airport is not ready there are no shops or places to eat or drink when you have checked in.There is just a run of 5 what look like cupboards selling a bit of merchandise,it looks like there will not be enough seating it is all very plain and sterile.

Hi again,

Hopefully in the Summer months there will be a direct bus route from the airport to the Mar Menor....  it simply doesn't make sense that we have to go through Murcia City to get anywhere. It will surely affect tourism, which in turn will affect the businesses....

There are already buses from Corvera to the Mar Menor with InterBus.   Last week, me plus Mrs C had a bus to ourselves, so the driver simply took the fastest route from Corvera to Los Narejos, a taxi in all but name.   It can’t last.

Hiya Chiny, Was reading your post and thinking - fantastic! Then I read 'Can't last......'

There's got to be something though if they want people to fly into Corvera.  I've gone from 15 euros from San Javier to LA, to 52/54 euros from Corvera to LA. Noooooo!

Thanks, suppose that’s not that bad if the timing fits in with your plane, and it’s an efficient service!!!

I've done a lot of research on transfers and the best I got so far is a private transfer from corvera to L A for 47e one way. They will take a 20 kilo  plus cabin luggage I decided on one way to see if I can find any better when I'm out there,it's only a couple of weeks since the airport changed so I'm sure there will be others offering competitive rates in the coming months . I think somewhere between 30 and 35 e ones way would be realistic.i have in the past got transfers in Bulgaria with the same 30 to 35 minutes journey and they charged 50e return and that's a cheaper country.
