I am in a similar position I bought an apartment in Los Alcaseres mid lockdown last year and really need to organise a few things.

Although I did manage to find a key holder there are many loose ends that only I can sort out.
I am hoping for some sort of travel in June.

I find the messages very helpful

It's frustrating having bills to pay without even being there but like you I'm hoping by end of May, or June we will be able to fly there, maybe with proof of vacination enough for entry.

Hi. I am in exactly the same situation. I’ve got all fingers crossed that I can get there in June. We just have to stay positive knowing we have a beautiful place to visit when we can, however frustrating it is. And it IS frustrating! Like you, I have paid bills already and not even been there. Good luck and let’s hope the travel corridors open soon.

Have you had water bills like me, I've only owned the property for a month but had a bill for 42 euros. Didn't expect it as the place is empty

Ye, I have read it and similar info. But the flights probably won't start up until months ahead and still need a 72 hour negative test to enter Spain. I hope in a few months flights will be back up and running and a vacination will be enough .

I’ve not had a water bill yet, but expecting one. I have paid for electric though. I think this was a service charge though.

Ye, I expect a standing charge for electric, but I don't think there's one for water, but I might be wrong. Plus I see some on here have said their water bills are quarterly, I've only owned the property for a month. Maybe it's the last owners final bill but they've given it to me.

I’ve also heard that water bills are quarterly. Who set yours up? Hopefully you’ll be able to sort your start date. Good luck.

The new rules in England limiting foreign travel provide an exclusion for buying a house, moving home etc. They also include the 'Stanley exception' to travel to carry out repairs, etc. on a property owned abroad.

However, the Spanish rules to enter Spain only allow UK citizens who are residents of Spain, or who have an application for residency in progress....

...

EU citizens (e.g. Irish citizens) are free to enter Spain (in general).

So as a non resident with an Irish passport I will currently be allowed entry into Spain?  My understanding is residents only!

Do not rely on what you are told! You can check whatever you need to know by visiting the Government website section - Living in Spain and the Spanish Government website.
