This is an update on the  COVID-19. VACCINATION

Mass vaccination began on Friday morning  April 9th for (Murcia Salud registered) patients ages 75- 79  from San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier and Los Alcázares.

Vaccination is being carried out in the large white Fiesta marquee in Calle Tucán, 30730 San Javier. There was plenty of parking and many residents eg. from Los Alcazares arrived by bus.

Patients are being vaccinated only by Public Health / Murcian Health Service staff..

On each day of vaccination, patients must come to the appointment with their ID (Residencia / Passport and #Health card.

To avoid crowds build up you should come at the time 🕛 of your appointment.

--------------------

Note: Patients are being contacted by Los Arcos/Murcia Salud staff by phone and given an appointment day/time, so keep your phone on if you are in this group.  Don't even think about going without an appointment.

People entering the facility were temperature taken and offered hand gel.. They joined a airport style queue before being directed to stations where their tarjea sanitaria or paper medical record was checked against Murcia Salud computer records, then they were sent to the vaccination area, asked if they were Español o no, if no one of the nurses asked them in English, did they have any allergies.

If the answer was no, within 20 seconds they had a jab. Then directed to a social distance waiting area and asked to stay for 15 minutes before leaving. The group vaccinated today will receive their second Pfizer vaccine on May 4th, that is in 21 days. (each group of people are handed a note with name of vaccine and second dose date, while they are queuing.

The whole facility was well staffed and very efficient. It will work well as the various age groups received their vaccinations.

Your Murcia Salud health card, (Tarjeta Sanitaria) or if still waiting for physical card, the A4 page with your Murcia Salud CARM number etc.

If you are not registered with Murcia Salud, you wont get the call.
