Yes it is that test but it sounds like you may be doing the test yourself, this isn’t accepted, it has to be done at a clinic with written certification.  Hate you to go to the airport with your own test and find they turn you away

That's right Bob you need a certificate from the clinic proving a negative test otherwise you won't get on the plane

Sorry forgot to mention you also need your QR code from your passenger locator form that can only be completed 48 hours before you return

Antigen is acceptable cost is around €30 from certain farmacias. Our local medical centre does them for €40

Just flew out of Madrid. They have a test center set up in the Business Lounge Terminal 4 where they do both tests. You book on line (Google Madrid airport covid tests-also Malaga) get certified results by email (15 minutes for antigen) and yes Antigen @€25 was fine for UK and US!

Yes we used Cardiosalus, Murcia and pre booked our appt online (easy process). Turned up and advised that needed rapid lateral flow test for travel to UK. Quick form to complete once there, took the test (nasal swab completed by the staff) , results in 5 mins. You will need to take your passport.  20 euros each for the test (cash or card). Stamped a form for us which was checked when checking in with Ryanair and perfect.  Just check that they enter your name and passport number correctly before you leave.

Does the certificate have a time on it.

So do you have the test 72 hours before you land in uk, hence the time of the test, or, just 3 days before, so test Friday to fly Monday????

Anytime within 72 hours before you fly. We had ours last Thursday morning and flew out of Corvera on Friday at 11.30

Hi Mark

I had the time issue and had to have my test on Monday morning as my flight was after 5pm and I couldn’t get a test after 5Friday or Sat/Sun

Guess you will to find somewhere that can do the test within 72hours of your flight time

Bob.

Maybe pharmacies will do Sat morning!
