Hi All,

I understand that the Spanish government has stated that once you have made a residentia application you can stay in Spain as long as you like. All good, however, I am waiting for my Residentia to be issued but want to go back to the U.K. and return a week later. I have a copy of my Residentia plus all supporting documents. My concerns are,

1. As I have overstayed my 90 days will I be able to return and will I be penalised for the overstay even though I am waiting for my Residentia

2. Will my application for a residentia get me through customs control entering back into Spain.

3. will my passport be stamped leaving and returning.

4. Does the 90 day rule apply if I can prove that my Residentia is being processed.

Best if you call 060 to get your answers. Some do speak English. Or, make another Cita Previa (Appointment ) Información only to get your answers . I know we were in similar situation and we had to request Carta de Extensión to leave the country (Letter of extending your outgoing as though you did not leave the country while in process of application) These questions are best if you ask them to the Spanish Immigration authorities because things do  change  and it's your Residency at stake here. You don't want to rely on a forum for these types of questions. Best wishes.
