Hi

Such a lovely place.

There is everything you could possibly want and more.

I am living in Cabo Roig at the moment due to work commitments but  as soon as we can we will move to Los Alcazares, I cannot wait.

If you do move there I am sure you will be very happy.

Best wishes

Lou xx

Is Cabo Roig not nice?

You have asked the question that is impossible to answer - are you a rich retiree with a pension? a teenager with no Spanish and hoping to get a job? Do you have a family and expect them to come and cope with all the traumas of schooling? Can you cope with the terrible humidity and heat that we currently have (very different to inland Malaga where we lived before),

Surprised that inland Malaga is less humid than Los Alcazares unless you were at altitude.

The Mar Menor area generally has low humidity and modest temperatures although this year it has joined the rest of Europe with excessive heat.

Inland Malaga is far wetter and I would imagine more humid on average than Los Alcazares, you only have to look up the weather data to see that.

As for the OP question it does depend what you want but after seeing many Spanish resorts LA is a nice mix without the excessive tourism of the Northern Costa Blanca.

Re weather, we have lived here now since 2017, and have never previously experienced such conditions, living in Spain since 2005. In Malaga we saw 50 degrees many times, but the humidity was below 60% - here it has been as high as 90%!

This will be the last summer we spend here, the rest of the year is fine.

Cabo Roig is lovely but not where I want to live forever,

Los Alcazares is beautiful and not so commercialised!

We have owned a holiday home on the Mar Menor Golf Resort and are looking to spend more time over here as we are both semi-retired and have been exploring the area. There is loads to do here and LA has pretty much everything you would need with loads of shops and supermarkets, a very lively central strip and a brilliant vets. You could do a lot worse.
