This makes interesting reading:-

https://www.corveraairporttravel.com/news/one-million-barrier-topped-at-corvera-murcia-airport/

Corvera Murcia Airport has made steady progress since officially opening on 15 January and taking over from San Javier as the main civilian airport in the Murcia region.

As the first year draws to a close, routes continue to be added to the airport’s seasonal schedules, and officials report that their objectives are being met, albeit gradually.

Regional Operating Fee

Spanish national airport authority Aena will have to start paying the Murcia regional government an operating fee, after reaching a total of one million passengers passing through the Corvera terminal. This is the threshold at which the initial fee takes effect: €0.84 per passenger, for a total of €840,000.

Corvera Murcia is the only airport in Spain that Aena operates as a franchisee. According to franchise general manager, Mariano Menor, in an interview with La Verdad, Corvera Murcia Airport’s passenger traffic is around 10 per cent below that registered at San Javier in 2018, but 10 per cent above initiual forecasts when the Corvera contract was drawn up.

Don't know where you got that list from Mitch it's well out of date

Ryanair are most definitely NOT flying from / to Leeds Bradford or East Midlands or Luton.

Pulled them all.

Try the link at the top of the post - dated November 11, 2019 - so yes it is about a week out of date!

The information on that link is wrong.

I wish it was correct I would be on the planes.

Definitely no flights with Ryanair Leeds Bradford - Corvera anytime next year.

OK that's a bummer - seems that route is a seasonal route (presumably a summer one). I expect it depends on the demand for the routes as to whether they are cost-effective to run - maybe Leeds to Corvera just isn't or wasn't?

Oh dear corvera managed one flight today arriving 10:10am then after opening at 8 and closing at 12 then what this has to be crazy and the local goverment are paying for this what next no flights ??

Should give people guided tours

Where did this info come from? Two flights have taken off in the last 30 mins so the airport is functioning profitably. I fear all the people calling the airport are those who used San Javier, there is no chance of things returning there, it us a military air base, always was and always will be. Commercial flights will increase next year when the large Amazon distribution centre opens and joins others already operating.

Maybe Jet2 are too expensive for our frugal northern friends?

Too true.

Cheaper to fly Ryanair into Alicante & drive down to Camposol than to fly jet2 into Corvera.

Has anyone noticed that hiring a car at Corvera airport is almost twice the cost than hiring a car at Alicante airport! Another reason I think that Corvera's days are numbered.
