Future this year is at present looking bleak with the onset and spread of the Coronavirus Los alcazares has suffered with floods on to many occasions to be unusual, but now the virus is going to affect businesses due to lack of people wanting to travel and airlines cutting flights by up to 50% though not a businesses owner can see this being a very hard year for those trying to make a living out of 3-4 months of the year just hoping for someone to come up with an antidote to turn round the virus before it becomes a pandemic that will stop travel for millions of people closing borders and even locals not mixing with each other to stay safe we are in the endangered age group of 70 that has a low survival rate so hope for an early turnaround

Don't worry.

Around 3000 people worldwide have died of the virus.

Around 650000 die from flu every year worldwide.

Talk about thinking positive! We know it’s not good but Roland has just said what I was about to. The actual fatalities are probably not as high in the vulnerable as the flu which goes round every winter anyway. I’m almost 73 which means at least I’ll never die young!

Too much worry on this. The flue is probably just as dangerous as you get older

I am a similar age but the responses to the post are not looking at the reality airlines going broke stock markets dropping like stones is that the same as flu, people are not travelling for fear of catching this disease not the same as the flu, this could break many businesses yet people are matching it with flu

I do understand this. Was trying to lighten it up a bit. 3 out of 5 people in hospital have worried themselves there! Global economy  - can’t control that but that’s down to money being the root of all evil

The nature of Covid-19 is that there are obviously many symptom free carriers so it will hard to avoid ultimately. And that also means the true mortality rate is down around 0.5% rather than 2%. When vaccine finally arrives say this time next year that will go lower and by then treatment regimes will be better so hopefully it wont be much worse than the flu.

And the warmer the climate, the shorter is the virus viability on tables, door handles etc. So ultimately Spain will be a safer place than UK, etc.

When we get used to hand washing etc. we will also be less likely to catch flu also.

Glass is definitely half full!!

Airlines going broke and shares dropping aren’t the same as flu. Or the same as corona virus. But you don’t die of busted airlines or dropping share prices.
