On the Mar Menor Golf Resort two bed villa with pool.  It is a beautiful resort with lovely villas of varying prices.  There are also a lot of apartments (though you will struggle to rent these). There are very cheap apartments just outside the resort called El Boulevard. These are not technically part of the resort but you can use the the town centre pool if you buy a drink.  this is open June-Sept. The pools around the apartments on the resort belong to owners and you would not be allowed to use these (despite what some agents say).  Of all the places we looked at in this area it was by far the best. More modern properties, full time security.  Our Community fees include hedge and grass cutting / internet and TV / security / house painting every 5 years.  You will need a car to visit the many lovely beaches nearby. We are also 20 mins from Cartagena (lovely town).  We can easily reach La Zenia shopping centrewithin 20mins. There is no public transport.

Hi we are Mark and Helen and have a miniature Yorkshire terrier. We have just reserved a property in L.A. And hoping to move around the end of the year.

I wondered if anyone's got an account with Sabadel? We're due to transfer in funds to cover the sale and taxes etc. I've phoned for advice on bank charges but am told to check the website! Where can I get this info. Thankyou.

Sabadel is a great bank, not cheap with account fees of 10euros a month but the customer service is great and all the staff speak excellent English, I am with the branch opposite the 525 hotel. Just call into make an appointment to see an account manager who will set up your account.

You could always go with Bankia who are cheap but the customer service is terrible and you better brush up on your Spanish! Lol

Hi Andy. I have opened an account with the bank opposite 525.The staff were exellent.I just got a bit spooked as when I got home I did a test transfer.I sent 50euros. With bank charges i ended up with 40 euros. As we're due to send funds to cover buying costs etc  this has me worried. Thank you for the reply. All Best.

Hi, when we bought in July, I did not use my Sabadell account to pay the reservation, deposit or final value but rather transferred monies directly from our UK account to our client account with our lawyer using both currency direct and transfer wise. This reduced the transfer costs significantly.

Best of luck on your move

After years of searching we bought in Los Alcázares because of the extensive beaches and flat walking for several miles.

We holiday every few weeks

Hello, I am looking for information on Los Narejos area in terms of a holiday home. My mum would spend more time there. We are flying out in a couple of weeks to stay in this area. I’m just wanting information on safety and amenities, as much information as possible if anyone can help? I see there is a lot of property for sale in this area. Thanks.
