Think of buying in Los Alcazares

Los Narejos, round the “strip” of Rio Nalon, short walks to any number of bars, restaurants, Mercadona, and the beaches of the Mar Menor. Don’t get stuck out on Oasis, or worse still Roda. There are two new developments nearing completion on Avenida de Los Narejos which may suit (near the Hotel Narejos Costa), or many other houses.

Did you get sorted with your house purchase in Los Alcazares? I have a 2 bed town house, not on the market but would consider selling ( need a 3 bed now), in a good spot in immaculate condition.

Please excuse the time of my reply as I am in the US at the moment. I have just reread your post and you say you want a new property, mine is not new, around 20 years old I believe, you also say you want an expat community, my house is not in an expat community, though there are plenty of expats close by. What I can say is my house is in Los Alcazares, a few minutes stroll to the beach, the local swimming pool and an abundance of fine restaurants and bars, I am loath to leave it but I need a 3 bedroom now, if you are interested I can supply further details.

Hello Tom, I have looked on my phone and have no pics I’m afraid, in fact I have very few pics of anything apart from the odd technical shots! I can give a brief description however, the ground floor has the lounge with a/c and internet and free British tv, a small bathroom and a separate kitchen with marble worktops. To the back of the property is an outside utility area ( more of a yard really ) where we keep the bycicles, with the washing m/c, the gas boiler, and an outside wash basin. On the 1st floor there are the 2 bedrooms separated by the family bathroom and the staircase, there is a small balcony to the front bedroom but not the rear, a/c is fitted to both. On the 2nd floor there is the sunroof which has views across LA towards the Mar Menor. Some people have turned theirs into a 3rd bedroom but we love to sit up here on an evening with the table and chairs, book, wine etc. I have laid AstroTurf on the sunroof and am very pleased with it. The house is a short walk to everything, we usually walk to the Rio Nalon, known as the strip contains restaurants and bars and very popular with ex pats. I will be out there next month and can send you pics if you are still interested. I would want £90k for the house which is considerably less than I paid for it 11 years ago, but am realistic enough to know I could get a 3 bed for an extra 20-30k.
