Hi I was confused by this 790 as the first 2 pages are exactly the same and the third page just looked like it was missing some information from the first 2 but again the same.

I filled in the EX01 last night 3 times lol ! As it has to be filled out in Spanish mine is not that good yet.

Will have another go tonight when I finish work.

Sorry I can't help anymore on that.

Ang

I thought EX-1 was the only easy one. Is it not just Nacionalidad and Pais that is in Spanish   Reino Unidad. Tell me if i'm wrong

An update on our NLV application, so this may help people's expectations on timescales...

We submitted our applications (as we're not married, we need to complete two separate applications) to the Spanish Consulate in Manchester on Thursday 22nd April and we were notified today (Tuesday 4th May) that our visas have been approved !!!

I'm going to collect them in person tomorrow (and remove the risk of them being lost in the post!) and it's now full steam ahead with booking our van, tunnel, hotels, etc. If all goes to plan, we should start our new life at our villa on Friday 21st May! Can't wait!

That must be so annoying. I know GPs don't have to do it, but it's hardly a lot of work them!

Good Luck with progressing your application though!

Congratulations Rich.  I hope all goes well for you with travelling etc.  My application is still a bit bogged down but hopefully it will be sorted soon.  Vic

Hi Ang.

I am in the same boat as you. I have had to cancel my appointment with the Consulate (30th April) as the Legalisation Office is waiting to verify my Doctors Signature.  My docs went to MK on 9th, received on 12th and started work on 15th.  They requested the verification on 20th but had no reply.  I would mention that it is virtually impossible to contact the Office in MK apart from by e-mail and the auto response quotes 7 days for a reply.  It does state that if it is urgent to contact the help line but that is a call centre (sounded like he was in his Toilet so I guess he was working from home!!) and he told be he can't help and to send an e-mail!!  The reply did take 7 days and I immediatly got my Certificate countersigned (the original GP had left the practice!!) and I sent copies by e-mail and posted the originals.  That was on 27th April and still waiting for any reaction.  My flight is booked for 23rd May so I will probably have to cancel.  I only have until 30th June to get everything sorted both here and in Spain or i have to wait until October and start the whole process over again.

Hi Rich .

One query re: finances.

I have more than adequate funds in Spain and UK together to cover the required amount but my Income is purely Pension of approx €1500 per month.  Is the consulate happy as long as you have sufficient funds to cover their requirements in your Bank accounts?

Thanks   Vic

It would appear so. We are under retirement age and our only actual income is from a rental property in the UK.

We provided a copy of the rental agreement for that property, bank statements showing 'cash in the bank', statements for our premium bond holdings and shares; and also the total value of my pension pot.

Our solicitor also provided a covering letter summarising all of the above.

Sorry Vic

I thought I had replied to your comment above but hadnt posted the reply !

What a shame you had to cancel the appointment how are you getting on with things now ? Do you have all your paperwork back and ready ?

We have our appointment on 19th May but I'm still waiting for the medical certificate so we are going to cancel this appointment.

Did you manage to get sorted and do you have another appt booked ?

Hope you are having better luck than me !  My partner has all his stuff sorted I managed to do all of that myself, but looks like I have to wait for my medical records to be sent to me !  I have found a private GP that can do it so it will be a matter of them checking my records and they have said they will do it same day.

I have emailed the translator you recommended so we can at least get Steves docs ready.

Keep me posted how your getting on.  I hope you don't have to wait til October.

Good Luck

Ang x
