Hello again all…the last time I posted, was waiting for my visa and passport to be returned. I asked for a general update on when people had received theirs. Well it’s now been 12 weeks today since I went to Manchester with all of my documents etc…. I know generally that there’s a backlog.(my wife is on another Spanish forum site and people have been waiting various times for their visas, one bloke has waited 21 weeks!)…im not sure what areas they were?…but if anyone can give me an update on our area it would be greatly appreciated. Regards-Horse.

We did ours at the Manchester consulate and it was 12 weeks and a few days till they emailed saying its ready. You can check on visa status using the link and your code they should supply when you apply and pay the fee.

Be prepared to be misled: my stepson & wife have moved to Malaga under NLVs, using the Manchester office. He got a message to say the papers were ready to be picked up, flew to MAN only to find his wife’s was there but his wasn’t, delay in the police report or something, so he had to fly home then return a few days later for his! No apology of course, just that glazed eye face taught to all funcionarios.

Oh, I certainly know how bad Manchester is,my sister did her visa there years ago and they were shocking then, I believe they were put into special measures?….we have used the tracking system several times, the email just comes back with ‘in process’ or words to those effect…but thank you both for taking time to respond.
