Hi

I will be staying in Los Alcazares for 4 weeks December to January. I now live in France and know very little about Spain having spent many years in Greece. Now have the chance to get to know Spain. So will ask many questions on various sites.

We have a small dog with us, any difficulties in restaurants? Are there dog friendly areas on beaches, she hates water but being Greek likes sand. Any dog friendly country walks?

The current messages are a few years out of date so updates welcome

If your dog is well behaved it can go most places, usually outside on terraces in restaurants but quite a few cafe type places do let them in. People even take them to the shopping centres. La Zenia boulevard shopping centre just up the coast is pet friendly and even have poo bag dispensers!.

The beach at Los Narejos has a zone for dogs and a secure play area. There are quite a few doggy play parks around too.

Loads of dog friendly country walks as long as your are responsible and your dog is on a lead or has good recall there is a mountain called Cabezo Gordo with a car park and good walking trails and views are fantastic.

google PiPi can los Alcazares to see where the doggy parks are…small area of beach along past Spinosa bar but not very nice sand.

You can sit on the terrace of all the bars with your dog and a few allow dogs inside. There is a very good vet in Los Alcazares..Provet …also doggy day care and social groups at Top Dog Hotel…find them on Face book
