PROTECT YOUR PETS TONIGHT!

For most tonight is going to be exciting bringing in the new year. There will be fireworks and it has been announced that the official display at the Town hall will be a silent one as they want  to be respectful to the community. (see los alcazares info for all forum). However there will be plenty of unofficial fireworks everywhere throughout the night so it will necessary to take precautions.Im sure you all love your pets so we need to protect them as they can get very distressed. 

Walk them well before the evenings  events. This will help them to be tired. 

In the case of cats, get them in early and keep them in 

DO NOT BRING THEM OUT  WALKING DURING THE EVENINGS  EVENTS!  I know this sounds obvious but some people think that because they are with their dog that somehow the pet feels ok 

Feed them a bit earlier to avoid them having digestive problems later in  the evening

Keep your pets INDOORS this is the most important thing. 

Higher the tv to drown out noise or play soothing music

Give them plenty of cuddles

Give them plenty of attention and assure them. 

Distract them any in way  by playing with them, little treats, anything that helps. 

If you have comfort blankets use them. 

Make sure your dog or cat has a identity tag in case he gets out, you chance of finding them will be greatly increased. 

Look up google to see what  else you can do there is so much advice on there. I am only trying to bring this to your attention. Above all give them plenty of love and assurance
