Hello hope everyone is well. Im non resident ny banking charges have gone up from 22.50 twice year to now 47.50 at least twice a year. But ive had this come out of my account as well recently i just wondered if it was another bank charge its a new one to me Transactio com non residente thanks

Hi Steve
Have you not opened an account with Cajamar yet? I understand the opening has differed from my time as you now become a member and must deposit an amount into a savings account. I am still very happy with their "weferrent account" and still not paid a cent in fees for 3years now.
They no longer charge for non residence certificates either, you just declare it in branch. You must stress on opening you are a non resident.

Pauline hope your well thanks for getting back to me i have spoke to them cajamar and changing over is the first thing on my list. I think if it wasnt for the bank fees i would be much happier. Not been to spain in a year hopefully end of june fingers crossed. They lost my wifes non resident certificate the one you sign every 2 years. 3 times i panic in case they say i must pay extra tax. Told solicitor and they say dont worry but i do worry. As for cajamar definitely going to try my best. Im so pleased its going well for you at that bank steve

you need to stop worrying (it's not good for your health) I should know I live with heart failure through my stressing out over our Spanish experiences (mostly not good). Your solicitor will sort the tax man for you, and so long as you keep paying your non resident tax on the property, it's your declaration of non residence. Stupid bank losing a certificate. Hope you get out soon, we,re returning end of August as we can only fit 1x90 days this year and we have a Spanish car with expired itv to sort out. Stay safe.
