Hello All,

I currently bank with Bankinter, but have not been entirely happy with some elements of their service :o(

I am looking at changing to a different bank in the next few weeks but don't know who to go with?

Any advice about the ease of change and the various benefits of other available banks would be appreciated :o)

Thanks in Advance!

Cajamar Wefferent account.

No charges

Search for Banking / free Banking at the top of this page.

Lots of threads on the subject.

Hi, I opened an account with Bankinter, have only had it for a few months. Can you say why you're not happy with it.

Hi Gerry, 2 reasons:

1.  I had a mortgage with them until I paid it off today. It was a non resident mortgage that should have a zero charge for early repayment; I was charged 460€ - I asked why and the lady said: "Normally that would be the case but if it was written into your contract?" I asked why it would have been written into my contract and she couldn't answer.

2.  10 days ago 416€ was taken out of my account with no explanation or reference to me at all; apparently it is some sort of house insurance. I am waiting for an explanation tomorrow when someone is going to call. It is not the way I think business should be done :o(

Mm, not good. I will wait and see how my account goes, but will look elsewhere if anything I think is unfair

I have a resident pension account with Bankinter and have my private pension paid in directly from my pension provider, I pay no fees or charges as long as a minimum of 600 Euro is deposited each month into the account.

The only problem with the Cajamar Wefferent account is that non residents have to go into a branch to open it.
