As we intend to retire to Spain and have investments in England can this be a problem
I hear bank accounts for non residents but is it complicated having money paid into English bank and pensions or do we need an advisor .We intend opening a Spanish account and buying a property

If you are living full time as a resident you will have to declare all your UK assets which will be taxable, supposed to pay. Your pensions direct into Spanish bank

Only declared in Spain if resident and when resident

You can pay pensions into uk account as gross and declare them in spain where you will pay your income tax, you have to fill the form out first though. Plenty of accountants can help with this.

I have my pension paid into a uk account and transfer the funds I need into a Spanish account when the exchange rate suits me.
I use Wise for the transfer into my Cajama Wefferent online account. No problems and suits me 👍🙂
