Hi, are water bills expensive in Los Narejos. I understand electricity bills are more expensive than UK and have a daily standing charge, is there a similar daily charge for water as well as usage. I won't be there until June approx, just trying to get rough estimate for utilities plus broadband.

That sounds ok,is it much more when occupied.i know it will vary depending on how many people are in a property, just wondering how it compares to UK.

Our bills dated 10th March for 3 months is €56. That is on a 2-bed house occupied continually by 2 people.

Hope that helps.

That's reasonable. Are the meters read regularly or often estimated.

I try translating the online bill from Spanish to English but not always easy. I bought a property at end of Feb, haven't moved from UK because of the restrictions but had an online bill a few days ago for 42 euros. Don't understand how as I haven't been there.

That's reasonable as well. Forgot to ask, do most people drink bottles water only or is tap water fine.

We installed a reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink, which cost about 150€ from Leroy Merlin. So we drink the tap water and also make our own sparkling water with our Sodastream. Saves a fortune on bottled water and no toxic plastic containers to carry about or have to take to the bins!

Just wondered what the tap water is like, I don't tend to drink much water,I'm guessing the bottled water isn't too expensive. There's a few things I will need to look at when I eventually get to Los Narejos, probably a bigger water heater will be needed, seems many of the older properties have small boilers.
