Just a heads up. Turned up for a booster at the sports centre at noon. Told to go through and join the queue. Moved forward to another smaller queue for booster jabs. Left at 2pm having waited, initially with 6 people then grew to over 20. When we eventually got there, we were told that you needed an appointment, despite not being asked by officials on entry 'did we have one' and despite being told it was a walk in to speed up protection. A poor attempt to ask, as there was hardly anyone getting vaccinated at all, whether they would just accept the covid certificate and TIE so we could get a booster. Absolutely no chance, you need an appointment. That applied to 20 or so people, including many very elderly. That's me done!

Thats very strange indeed because my wife also turned up for her booster at the sports centre today and also took a friend who is non resident but previously double jabbed . they joined a queue and officials regularly came along the queue holding fingers up asking people if wanted jab 1, 2 or 3 . upon stating needing booster or jab 3 they were then ushered forward to be given the jab with no problems whatsoever , the lady who is non resident had only her passport to show which was acceptable .I cannot understand why they suddenly changed the rules on the same day .For myself i had my booster jab by turning up last thursday without appointment at the community centre and again encountered no problems at all

I also had the same experience as the author, utter shambles. I had my first and second doses in the sports centre and it was very efficient, they vaccinated lots of people but last Thursday there were more people queueing than getting jabbed. I wonder if they were running low on stock so started being more selective? I went at 12.30, perhaps if I'd gone earlier it might have been different?

Went to Centro Civico for my booster. Waited in the queue for an hour to be told I needed an appointment. Online specifies no appointment needed. At least 10 people I know got the jab on the same day without an appointment. I feel they all must have blue eyes & blond hair. The security guard was walking around, smoking. If I don’t die from Covid I feel passive nicotine will get me. Made appointment at centro salud & was given an appointment for 6 weeks in February. A total sham, the NHS could teach them a lesson or two.

Just remember, there is a giant surge in demand for Murcia Health resources, coinciding with enforced isolation for many staff.
Just walked past Centro de Salud in LA, queues out to the street.
Please cut them some slack.

I will cut them some slack when they work professionally regardless of the size of queue. I went last week to hand in a letter to administration, to be to told by security to join the queue. He knew exactly why I was there. It took one and a half hours just to hand in one letter. I should not have been asked to queue & possibly 50% of people in that queue should not be either. The security guard or a medical/nursing personnel should be triaging all people in that queue & getting them out as soon as possible, with the emphasis on stopping the spread of worsening Covid. It would appear Centro Salud has a sub-standard management. I miss the NHS but ‘ I will be back’.

I was informed by phone today that I am positive to Covid. A doctor phoned me at home to inform me. She is a GP at Centro de Salud? She is phoning me again tomorrow as I have some breathlessness. I am furious as I was turned away from the booster clinic Centro de Civica mid-December. Given appointment by the Cenro de Salud for booster clinic mid February. Queued for over an hour last week at Centro de Salud to hand in a letter. Would I still have got Covid if I had the booster or didn’t have to queue in such a manner. I will never know. I just want to recover & forget it all. Possibly I won’t need the booster now. Fight for vaccines & don’t accept an appointment for 6 weeks. All lives matter. Take care.
