How can we talk about this being over and opening up for tourism with Russia catching 10,000 a day India 6,000 a day Brazil 9 000 a day the USA 25,000 a day and rising and many more countries who are still not at the peak of the virus but many of these people will want to visit Spain uk Italy France etc even if not direct they can fly to the uk then to Spain I do not see the decrease in Spain’s rate of catching the virus as the end, when 1,000s of visitors are waiting to visit Spain we are desperate for a vaccine and until it is here the safest place remains away from others,

My God a vaccine could be years away if indeed we ever get one! Do you suggest that friends and relatives currently separated by border closures never again see each other? We broke down the Berlin Wall in 1989 only to impose numerous others across Europe in 2020. Covid will be with us for a long time and we have to live with it, if you don't want to catch it stay at home but others including myself want to take the calculated risk and get on with life. The current lockdown is ruining millions of lives through unemployment, do you think that should continue just so you can live in a bubble?

I can't be arsed with this Covid debate anymore. You're both very right in part, you're both very wrong in part. Just follow the damn rule of the day, move on!

Brazil has doubled overnight

Now 21,000 daily do you really want death before lockdown my wife is a carer and works in the uk and has found it impossible to get home now since feb so We want an end to it as much as others but this has to be done sensibly not by opening up everything in advance of.safety could the spanish health service cope with these figures

You're  a really cheerful chap aren't you?

Do you really think it will just be a case of open the doors and let everyone in?

With Spain having one of the strictest lockdowns it is very unlikely.

It should not be beyond the ability of border control to limit who is, or isn't, eligible to enter the country at any given point in time.

Case in point being the German tourists recently refused entry.

You want to take a calculated risk? How many others would you like to expose to infection in your calculations.? What a "strange" attitude. Using strange instead of something stronger in a family forum.

Great to hear the Spanish Government is opening the borders in July. Ryanair are filling its planes ready to fly to Alicantie and Murcia, bet the Spanish business owners cant wait for the Brits to arrive. As for the Expat 'snowflakes' they better pull up the drawbridge and hide under the duvet.

Oh dear, I've said it before so will again. The Spanish President has done you well so far - trust him - poor bugger is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. There must be some immunity by now Our bodies were built to fight all invasions some better than others, but there has to come a time when we move on. If you feel that you can't then carry on and self isolate, but for goodness sake we must try now to find some kind of "normal" the whole world's economy is in the "doldrums" we have to start somewhere.

Its all about being sensible .. we all want to be safe we all want the economy and some sort of normality back so you have to have the right balance.   Control is everything control opening businesses opening control whos visiting the country control the pandemic.

I do truly think a vaccine is coming and not years away so until that day stay safe 🙏
