Could anyone please advise me are you allowed to visit spain for a holiday if you are not vaccinated against corona virus?

Yes, you can travel provided you get a negative test before flying to Spain.
A negative PCR test within 72 hours of arriving in Spain or a negative antigen test within 24 hours of arrival.
