My daughter and family were due to visit this week. However husband tested

positive for Covid on Saturday. Flights therefore cancelled. Anybody know whether she and granddaughters can still come to Spain after 10 day isolation period or will she have to wait longer?

Government website not helpful.

Thanks for any help.

They can't travel while complying with the self-isolation period in the UK; and the Spanish Passenger Locator Form requires you to confirm that you haven't been in contact with anyone with Covid in the previous 2 weeks (so 14 days).

They don't need a test to come to Spain, but would need negative antigen tests to return to the UK and, depending on the age of the children and whether your daughter is double-vaccinated, may need to pre-book Day 2 tests.

Hope this helps!

That's exactly right. To enter Spain you need a locator form which is filled in before 48 hours. Then after 48 hours you get a QR code with all your details on inclusive any tests registered with NHS. Also if a family member or been in contact with anyone with a positive result, then they also not allowed into Spain until 14 days and then everyone has to take another PCR test.

Hope this helps and in 14 days you can get your hols. Also hopefully you got covid cover on your flights as most companies now have this included and you can get another flight booked at no extra cost. If you're covered.
