How do I sell my car?
I would like to sell my car privately as I’m going back to the uk. Can anyone advise me please? Would it be best to advertise on this Forum, or advertise it in a newspaper or other website?
any advice please?

I think the value of the car will be the determining factor.
If you have a car worth over (say) 8K, I doubt you will sell it privately, as prospective buyers will often need finance facilities.
But if you have something cheaper, start with this forum ....

Thank you, I want around 4,500 for it. I would like to know what are the legal aspects of selling it... do you have to involve a solicitor or notary? Do I have to pay taxes to sell it...? Etc.

You need to go to a gestor with your purchaser.
There is a standard-form contract of sale for you both to sign. This protects both parties. For example, it confirms to the purchaser that there are no outstanding debts/fines/parking tickets on the car. These debts stay with the car, so the purchaser would have redress against you if you had fibbed.
You need to provide the car's documents, plus your padron/ID (and maybe a couple of other bits of paper that I can't remember).
The purchaser needs a "justification" form to enable him/her to drive the car away.
The government takes a bit of tax, and the gestor needs paying.
I would guess that the cost would be around 300-350 Euros.
