Now Brexit is over I know the legal requirements for UK retirees to relocate to Spain have changed.  I have read that proof of a  minimum annual income of  £24;000 is required  This would mean my dream of living on Costa Calida would be over.

If anyone can clarify the new regulations for permanent residency or tell me the best source of official information I would be most grateful.

Thanks in anticipation.

Susan

Below is one of my posts from 6 months ago which I hope may be useful.

"Unless some special arrangement is put into place for British people, we will be treated as all non EU immigrants. Spain has something called the IPREM which currently is 6.454,03 Euros per annum. It more or less equates to a Spanish minimum wage.

A non EU immigrant requires an income of 400% IPREM which equals 25.816,12 Euros p.a. Each extra family member increases the requirement by 100% IPREM, therefore a couple would require an annual income of: 25.816,12 + 6.454,03 = 32.270,15 Euros."

I suggest you go and see Linda at Liberty Seguros Insurance Av. Marqués de Rozalejo, Los Alcázares. She was arranging my residencies until I decided it was not for me, she will tell you all the rules and arrange the application if you want, she is very helpful
