Hola  all     I read that people with in-date UK passports    have been   sent home in the UK

with a few years left to run     as the passport is classed as invalid   after britex

is this correct       I have six years left on my UK  passport

I asked about a new Spanish one      to be told  my UK one is valid        Help

Dave

Your passport is not 'invalid' after Brexit.

However since Brexit your passport MIGHT run out before the date printed on the passport.

Your passport needs to have at least 6 months left on it to be valid for travel to Spain.

Go to this UK Government website to check your when your passport does actually run out.

Dave

Please calm down, as things are certainly not as bad as you may think. Roland has posted a very helpful link, but  rest assured, things are not as bad as you might have initially thought.

All the best

That's 6 months from the ISSUE date when you leave any Schengen country.

If you travel from Spain to another EU/Shengen country it will be the date you re-enter the UK.

Hi Dave

follow that link Roland has helpfully supplied and enter your details. We did so with a link from a previous poster and mine was 9 months different and my wife’s 18months different between what was stated on our passports and what date the UK government website said !
