Thank you for the reply that's great news me and my husband are 40 no children and enjoy active social life eating drinking live music entertainment etc do you think this area offers that too? We originally based our search around costa Blanca and visited many areas but couldn't find the right place so we are heading into costa calida as looks stunning and from research only looks much more affordable in this area even on the coast line. Many thanks Christina

Plenty of everything you’ve mentioned...and yes just a few minutes inland is much cheaper!

Thank you I will look into those areas I had been looking at puerto de mazzaron and San pedro del pinatar as they seem slightly bigger towns? In the UK we live in Brixham a small fishing port so used to a smaller town which is seasonal very busy in the summer and quiet in the winter but there is still a good sense of community and live music etc initially this will be a holiday home as have a business in the UK but can take time off a lot of time in winter so want an area which is all year round then with the hope to retire but this will be a few years off unless we can transfer out business to Spain. Thanks

You may struggle to find decent live music in LA unless it’s an organised event.  There is the odd solo singer.  The town hall have effectively banned live music because of noise complaints.  My husband is a musician (hobby) and it’s been a bit of a source of disappointment.
