Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy some thick plastic pond liner. I do not want a pre made pond but want to make my own so I am trying to find some plastic lining to do the job.

Flyren, sorry I can't answer your question but it's prompted one that I've been toying with in our preparations for moving to Spain.  That being whether or not a garden pond is suitable in Spain, bearing in mind the hot weather and still water becomes stagnant thus attracting mosquitoes?  Just a consideration with me, hope you get your answer though.

Hi,

You can buy them from Leroy Merlin, but they are huge, I estimated they are about 10x10 meters. They came in different thicknesses. I saw them at the construction materials one at Cabo Roig/La Zenia. I also found you can get them on Amazon ES in smaller sizes.

I haven’t got around to building my fish pond yet, but it’s definable on my to do list.

All the other stuff like filters, etc are readily available on Amazon, but I’ve only ever seen gold fish for sale, as I believe Koi Carp are banned as they are not an native species. Could be wrong on that one?

Mozies won’t be a problem as long as you have a filtration system with a fountain. In fact fish love mozie larvae, so a great source of food.

Well that's answered a few questions for me anyway, thanks NickB.  I'll add this to my Spain planner list.👍
