Always opted for taking it to Correos. Properly labelled with Amazon’s label have had no problem, and the refund is triggered before you leave the post office.

Thanks to all who responded, seems there is more than 1 way and you have to know which one to use but the instrucciones link didn't work so took some finding but emailed and they responded very helpfully. Not sure I'll use Amazon again, more trouble than it's wirth

When I have returned items to Amazon hey usually tell you how to do it. In the past one had to post them, but the postage and insurance was always more than the refund postage. I think now they have changed the system, but as I haven't had to return anything lately I don't know

Have always for many years found it very easy. When you want to return something within a month of delivery or if faulty under 2 years old Amazon ask you how you want to return it. They can have many item options/items collected from your address - but they will give you a date but only occasionally give you a rough time depending on the collection company but for most smaller items I use a local post office (you have to print off the label and stick to the box) you need to request a receipt from the post office and generally I have on occasions either asked for a credit to my Amazon account which can be credited within a few hours of me dropping it off at post office or ask for it to be returned to my credit (original payment) card and usually get it credited within about 2 or 3 days.
To be honest this all may sound complicated but it is a very easy process. I have even returned a problem dishwasher and Amazon arranged for it to be collected and got the refund within 3 days.
I have been using Amazon since 2000 and their customer service is why they are so good, especially if there are items to be returned.
To me many businesses in Spain (&UK) need to learn what customer service is which is why Amazon has done so well.
