In what way? It's as easy to buy a property in Los Alcázares as it is to buy a property anywhere in Spain. You pay the amount of the cost of the property plus around 10 - 12% extra on costs and taxes. You would have an annual upkeep of IBI (council tax), electricity, and water, both of which have standing charges, so you will pay something each month whether you are staying in the property or not. If you are a non-resident, then you will pay non-resident taxes and if you are a resident, you will have to do an annual tax return declaring all your income and the property in Spain, plus any properties or assets that you may have in other countries. If you are not a resident and plan to rent out the property, you would need to apply for a tourist licence and then declare all your earnings from the rentals.
The Citizens Advice Bureau Spain is a very helpful tool for anyone planning on buying a property, relocating to Spain, and many other things.
They have a Facebook group and a website:

Good morning
The process is very easy,. as long as you go through a good estate agent .
They will do all the work for you , just sit back & pay the money when they say.
I bought last year with GLM Propertys with no problems, even got my Deeds within 3 months.
Hope this helps.

Note of caution. LA floods quite badly at times particularly the old town.

We bought in the old town 18 months ago the process was straight forward. We know that there has been 2 floods in the last 50 years they are well documented. There has also been alot of money spent on the flood defence so this is not a problem. You can also add defences yourself. As long as you do your homework it will be fine.
