I am due to be returning to Los Alcazares very soon. If anyone has arrived in Spain from UK recently, what were the covid requirements? I have checked gov.uk as usual but find them bewildering this time. Help please!!!

I am going next week. You first need to download your vaccination status from the NHS, (there is an expiry date on the document) then you can check on the Spanish travel health locator webpage to ensure it will validate, (Link provided). If it does you just need to take either the printed or downloaded status with you to show at the border. If it all works you do not need to fill in the locator form,

Spain Travel Health (spth.gob.es)

Hope this helps

Yes, above advice is correct. Arrived into Spain via Alicante on Sunday. If you are fully vaccinated (1 to 3 or 4 ) obtain confirmation via  the NHS app. Validity is only valid for one month, so you must travel out within time period. Download that to your phone and also click on receive by email. That will give you a link which you can use on a computer linked to your printer. It also gives you your vaccinations file which you can upload to the Spanish Health form. It’s very easy to do. On the Spanish health form click on the EU digital certificate or equivalent. It’s just one short page to complete and has an upload box at the bottom for your vaccinations file. It will state verified once uploaded. That’s all. Print that out to take with you. There isn’t much checking done now as long as you have your latest vaccination within the last 270 days (9 months) and can show it on entry. It was done at ALC airport just as you entered the baggage hall. Masks are still being worn here in most places including in the street areas and must be worn on public transport and busy areas. Don’t worry the Spanish people here are so nice and accommodating it’s all worth the effort.

Update since my last post on this. We arrived into Murcia on Tuesday 19th April. No one checked our body temperature, and they barely looked at the Covid vaccination forms. Altogether a more pleasant experience from last time, where we felt like lepers. Hope this helps.

Hi, sorry, I am a bit confused, I'm flying to Murcia next week. I have downloaded my vaccination form but do I still need to fill in the Spanish passenger locator form? Thanks

It certainly does, thank you so much. Thought I'd address the Sph form just to be sure, and my NHS Covid vaccination info has been validated.

No. Just open the Spanish locator website. It offers you a choice to check whether you need the form or not, upload your NHS Covid form and it will validate, and tell you that you do not need to fill the locator form. As long as you have had your booster in the last 270 days it should validate.

It's a bit confusing, so what if I have had both jabs and a booster, but the booster was more than 270 days ago?

You would have to check the Spanish website. However 270 days is approximately 9 months ago and I don't think anyone in the UK got their booster before July last year, although I could be wrong. Best bet is to upload your NHS Covid cert and see if it validates.
