Hi, I'll be moving to Los Alcazares in July 2022 and would love some info on local fishing/clubs. I'm into all kinds of fishing but particularly carp and coarse. All info welcome. TIA. Ian.

There are 3 active clubs in the area; Abbey, Rods and Reels and Carp R Us. All have matches. Abbeys are every Tuesday, R&R every Wednesday and CRU every Thursday. Plus there are a number of ‘knock up’s’ and festivals. There is one every other Saturday at the Pond, at Guardamar and then a number at El Bosquet by Catral.

All the clubs have websites and Facebook pages.

I live in LA and the furthest I travel is to Argos which takes around 1.25 hours, however there are a lot closer places.

The places we fish are; El Bosquet, by Catral, the nearest to a commercial we get in the UK. The River Segura, a number of venues on here. The main one being in the centre of Murcia city. Plus Argos and Padera reservoirs.

All hold carp and Barbel, plus some have mullet and bass.

You’ll need a Valencia and Murcia licence and a Murcia federation card (the card gives you insurance, which you need to get a Murcia license). Someone in one of the clubs will sort you out with this.

If you need any further info just PM me or ask.

Hi Nick, awesome. I will most certainly be in touch once we move out and settled a bit, get an NIE etc.

Hi Nick, we spoke a while ago re fishing clubs. At last I have my NIE number and would love to get fishing very soon. You mentioned 3 clubs in the LA area, would you have any more details please? Hopefully someone in the clubs will be able to steer me right re licences, insurance etc. TIA.
