Can anyone shed some light on the floods in alcazares. Are they a regular occurrence and how bad are they . Also what areas are affected . Thanks for any information

No the floods are not a regular feature. Last winter was exceptional seeing snow as well as the pre Christmas floods, its no different than in the UK floods do happen now and again. When they do occure it is the old Town which is mostly at risk, the market and Town Hall area.

The great flood 2 years ago was a one off.Almost everyone was affected one way or another.Roda golf especially where many cars were written off including mine which had water up to the door handles.I would be more concerned about the wind than the rain  in a caravan!

Hello

I am looking for a house in los alcazares, I'm a single mom with a 17 year old, is the area busy with shops bars restaurants.

I was looking at Camposol but I would need a car for the beach and supermarket so I have decided against.

Im hoping to come out in August for a visit.

I've read about the floods, so are companies still insururing properties?

Any help appreciated.

ThankYou.

Hi Fiona.

We bought our house in Los Alcazares about 15 years ago. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and shops that you can get to without a car, if you choose the right area. We used an agent, who was really helpful and answered all our questions. I can let you have his contact details by private message, if you like. Our house is on El Divino, which is within walking distance of the beach. Although there was some flooding in the area, it was not as bad as the old town and our house was fine. Julie.

Hi,

We have recently bought on Puerto marina in Los Alcázares. All the supermarkets, bars and restaurant’s are all walkable and the beach is just a ten minute walk. Hope this helps.
