Hi,

Has anyone had the experience of buying a property from an auction and was it an easy process, as it sounds complicated?

Thanks.

Do you mean a bank repo auction? If it is then our advice would be to avoid as bank messed us around so much that we withdrew. Then it took several months of persistence before the bank returned our Euros paid expressing our interest .

Thank you for your reply.  Yes, it was repo bank auctions. I came across a company AIS who advertise repossessed property and was going to try and find out how the auction worked.

We Purchased through Murcia Invest back in July 2017.We dealt with Oscar who was most helpful put us in Touch with Dawn Bell English Solicitor. We arranged a Notary in UK whom we gave Power Attorney. We placed €500 reserve on an Apartment on Hacienda Requilme if know one else places a reserve on the property you get it for Price advertised. If more people place reserve goes to Sealed Bids.Which they advise to Bid between 10-20% above advertised price. If you dont go a head with sealed Bid you get €500 reserve back.Add approx 15% on top for Taxes.Every thing was done through Email also sending photo via Whats App.We didnt even come over Spain until was Completed met Oscar at Bank to open Bank Acc.Where Keys were handed over to ourselfs.

Would you know if there was any proper auctions, that is, property starting at £0 and you bid against others, with an auctioneer. The same idea that we have in the UK?

I heard of Alerta Subastas, but i'm not sure if they are this time of property auction, does anyone know?
