Can anyone recommend a good place to go for Spanish lessons. I'm a retiree and will be starting from scratch.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you  Mike

There are Spanish lessons every monday in the Garden Bar in Isla de Tabarca..the road behind the Sabadell building at 525 roundabout. beginners 9:15. The teacher is a Spanish lady Begoña ..they start again in October ( most finish for the summer months)

There is a conversation group which i would recommend  no matter what your level on Fridays at 7:30 at Las Claras centre. Mix of Spanish who want to learn English and English learning Spanish...very good experience of the language even if you are only a beginner.

Hi Mike,

Have a look at shortcuttospanish.com  it is advertised on this forum. It is so easy to learn. I am over 70, all I could say was hola. I can now get by in Spanish confidently.

You will too, in such a short time.            Regards

Hi, I’m new to los alcazares and just started at Big Ben Academy.  Only had two lessons so far and find it helpful but no english is spoken. my ‘pofessora’ Carmen is very good.  I’ve opted for 3 classes per week but you can choose 2 or 5 if you wish.  It’s mainly conversation but there is also a lot of emphasis on the grammar.  I find understanding the grammar is essential to speaking spanish but people learn in different ways.

If you sign up I may see you there.
