This is unsolicited advice with regard to obtaining all the things you need to live legally in Spain.

Items you need are Driving licence

Yes def required if you drive a Spanish car and are spending more than a short time in Spain I was fined 200 euros for still having a uk licence.

Car registration to Spanish only allowed max 2mths in Spain and not at all if resident

We found them very helpful and reasonable price saved me a lot in fines

They do everything we need incl

Residency very easy to get but you can cause yourself problems if you do not have, seek advice.

There are many other things you need to live legally in Spain so you can have healthcare access to doctor etc so easy with the correct advice

Miguel at liberty in Los Narejos is a great way forward perfect English and will put you on the right road without you being fined. Though they do normal insurance you will find his advice invaluable, again this is not an advert I am writing this after falling foul of the system due to not having the correct knowledge we eventually were advised to go to Miguel since which we have now sorted our life out to live in Spain

Costs nothing to talk to them but you will find the advice second to none and will save you money

Also link up with Citizens Advice Spain, a good read online with a host of information relating to almost everything related to moving to Spain.

I agree but if you have ever tried contacting g them ??

We were desperate seemed like we were being fined on a daily basis because we were unaware of the legalities there are some strange things we must adhere to and Miguel made us aware of these now I am not frightened to open letters anymore

One strange anomily you must be  aware of

a cycle helmet must be worn in Spain but not if it’s very hot or you are cycling uphill

No wonder we are confused???
