hello, advice please on which is the nicest golf resort to stay on for a three month winter rental. We will have our own car. We know  that there is one called Roda and one called Polaris world. Any advice would be much appreciated. (Ps we don't play golf neither do we swim) thanks.

Hacienda Riquelme. It is one of the Polaris courses. It has it's own Spar shop and the restaurant in the clubhouse is good. It's only five minutes from Sucina which has shops and restaurants, the Bodega is excellent. Some of the courses have too many properties crammed into them, but HR is very spacious and open, with nice lakes. You can see the Mar Menor from many of the properties, even though it's about 20 mins inland. It's a dual carriage way (no traffic) to the coast and within minutes you have San Javier, Los Alcazares, and Santiago de la Ribera to name just three, within minutes of each other. 15 mins from the AP7 which runs the whole length of the coast. Take a look on Google Earth. Any questions, come back to me. We don't play golf or swim either.

Ps. There are lifts in all the buildings.

The problem wih this sort of question isthat anyone who lives on a golf resort will of course recommend where they live!! So.....we live on Mar Menor golf resort which is of the course the best one 😂😂

7 mins from Los Alcazares, beach, bars, restaurants etc.

a couple of minutes from nearest Spanish town Torre Pacheco with a great Saturday market.

El Boulevard at the resort gate has around 8+ bars and choice of restaurants, bank, etc as well as a 5* hotel and spa onsite. A well stocked supermarket, padel courts, games area, trim trail....look at their facebook pages and websites....we had a couple of holidays here then bought a villa and became permanent residents!!

We also bought an apartment as all our family and friends come out for holidays...

We are also on Hacienda Riquelme we live there for 8 months of the year and absolutely love it, we go into Sucina about 3 or 4 times a week which is the nearest village about 5 minutes drive from the golf course there are about six restaurants in the village and the restaurant on the golf course plus a spar shop which is always kept well stocked. It is well maintained and looked after and very clean, we are not golfers or swimmers either, the views are lovely

Personally if you don't play golf as both the lovely Mar Menor Golf & Roda Golf are not really walking distance but a short car ride to beaches and the many restaurants, supermarkets etc in Los Alcazares,  you would be far better staying in the area.   All other golf resorts are a long way from the beaches!

Mar Menor golf is considered to be the best in the area.

Thank you for these very interesting replies and its natural that you should vote  your own to be the best. But as we are only going to be staying for three months, and don't know the area at all, I am guessing that the Roda resort is nearest to Alcazares by car and on foot and therefore nearest to the supermarkets and other amenities. Would appreciate as much advice as you can offer on staying for the winter on any of these resorts. Many thanks. Stan.
