Does anyone have stone carpet around the pool

Just building a pool and never came across “stone carpet”.

Thanks to my friend google I found out: For me it looks like more an indoor solution.

We are going to tile the area (incl. the garden which is at this moment lava stones)

Good point of call for tiles is Semaco (also called with the expats “Tiles graveyard”)

Thanks for your reply, they certainly advertise for pool surround, friends in the UK have a driveway of the same surface so is definitely used outdoors. 

Good luck with your pool and surround. We have been told the tiles around our pool are not the correct grade of non slip which is why we are looking at alternatives.

Having had the stone carpet laid last year 2020, I have only a few comments to make. There are cowboys in all industries, then here are super cowboys, and these are headed up by total downright incompetent, useless, swindling lying individuals that should be jailed for their rip off swindles.

Had 400 m2 laid and paid 12.000 euros last year by good old Mike Bulmer, proprietor of three simply stone carpet businesses, all with different names, all operating out of the same location, one of which was run by his sister. Less than one year later, 100 m2 drive has turned into a stone beach, where the entire drive has crumbled and totally unrepairable. The goy who used to work with Marvelous Mike, Ryan, and now has supposedly taken over from Mike, who is supposedly gone back to the UK, has visited my property and told me that only half the correct quantity of resin was used, and enquiries with the resin manufacturer tells me that according to the photos, although claimed that UV resistant resin was used, this is a lie.

Also given a 10 year guarantee, what bullshit.

The guy who used to work for Mike took over, Ryan, now refuses to talk to me, answer phone calls or emails. He claims that he is trying to help out the many people who have also had the same failures, you decide if this is true.

I live and work in China, and have been overseas for the past 12 months, so NO vehicles of any description have used the drive, so no good accusing me of damaging the drive through heavy use, which is their stock answer.

You want you drive or swimming pool stone carpeted, be very cautious who you chose. anyone wanting photos of the drive, let me know. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Mike Bulmer, let me know, there is a reward for information leading to locating him.
