I am considering buying a portable flueless gas heater from Leroy Merlin and was wondering what are peoples experience of using these.

The one I am looking at in Leroys is nearly £300 so they are not cheap but the flame effect is great and the unit looks attractive, plus of course I would save on electric. So have people found these units efficient to run? How much is a gas bottle? Are they smelly? And are there any other issues I need to consider?

Any information would be much appreciated

We bought one last year from there 299 euros and it sounds the same. You need the smaller bottles of gas which cost  16+ euros to fill. No smell and would depend on his big your room is as to the heat.

We have gone for infra red heating this year so ours is for sale including the gas bottle (empty) 199 euros.

Margaret

Just realized you would be in Murcia region and we are in Valenciana (Quesada) so not allowed to cross lines just now unless things change on 9th Decembrr

The biggest problem with any portable gas heater is the moisture they produce when in use.

You need some sort of ventilation which sort of defeats the object of having the heater on.

If you don't ventilate properly you could ( will ) end up having condensation & or mould on your walls.
