The Los Narejos centre only takes visitors during the summer. Go to the main Centro de Salud in Los Alcazares (walk-in every nigjt or daytime appointments)

as usual with Spanish websites there is more misinformation than helpful stuff. The Ayuntamiento put a notice on about the out-of-hours clinic, but the centre itself says:

https://www.murciasalud.es/caps.php?op=mostrar_centro&id_centro=157&idsec=6

The photo that comes up on a link is not the centre but a farmacia in the town...maybe worth you calling in and checking it out - before you need it urgently!

For emergencies always go the Hospital Los Arcos!

EHIC card is only for tourists..if you live here you should have private health care or access through the S1.

I missed the “live” in the original post. Crissywissy is of course quite correct and an EHIC does not cover you. Neighbours in Malaga tried this fraud and following a hernia operation under E111 received a bill from the health service for €3500.

Thanks to all who responded.

I went to Los Alcazares Health Centre with my EHIC (E111) and recieved my appointment for next day. I asked if I would have to pay and the receptionist said No. So overall the system worked well and more efficient than I expected.
