hi all
We plan to move into LA in January. My main interest is Bridge but we also enjoy general socialising, maybe over a coffee (and brandy). We intend to rent for a few months to test the water, Can anyone point us in the right direction - I have already contacted the Bridge Club but other general socialising tips would be helpful. Hope to meet a few of you soon.

We have a friends coffee morning every monday at 11:00 at the Garden Bar in LA and from there you’ll hear about lots of other social events and groups...just turn up.
Join Viajes Real Spain facebook page for cultural trips run by Begoña our local Spanish teacher. Look at Cine Las Velas LAs only English cinema....you’ll soon have no spare time at all!!!

Thanks for that - seems like a really good start. Dont know many places in LA yet - we know Mercadona and hotel 55 - is the Garden Bar near there? Thanks.

Walk along behind the Sabadell bank on the 525 roundabout it’s calle Islam de tabarca on the left about 5 mins along past the school

there are lots of English people in Los Alcázares, many clubs to join
Garden bar is friendly. I am also hoping to move permanently to
Los Alcázares where i have a house spend many months out there life is much nicer
Many Spanish friends and English.
Big decision do I rent my house or sell it , as l have found my forever house .
Does anyone have any information about renting as i have heard negative comments.

not sure if you mean your UK house...buy or rent.....we decided to sell as we really wouldn’t want to live in the same house if we ever did move back to UK...which we have no intention of doing!!

We going out in Jan too, we like playing crib and willing to socialise as we will not know anybody at all once we get there!
